DURATION OF COURSE AND MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

• The duration of study for B.Ed. semester course shall extend over a period of one academic year of TWO semesters. The duration of first semester shall be of 16 weeks and second semester shall be of 18 weeks(204 working days.)

• Minimum duration for practice teaching shall be of SIX weeks which excludes programmes like micro Teaching, simulated teaching and practice of communication skills.

• The College shall provide instructions in both Kannada and English medium separately in core-subjects provided the total strength or students in such a class is more than 40. However, English / Kannada shall generally be the medium of instructions for content cum Method of teaching school subjects.

• Student-Teachers shall opt either English or Kannada medium to erite their 1st Semester and 2nd Semester examinations irrespective of the medium selected for theory classes and teaching practice.
